A 48-Hour Rapid Response Project

When the School of Education faced a critical deadline for a strategic partnership retreat, I stepped in to lead a rapid-fire redesign of their recruitment collateral. Tasked with producing a high-level brochure in under 48 hours, I translated complex program data into a professional, partnership-ready layout that met rigorous brand standards. The project resulted in a $5,000 cost savings for the university and played a central role in successfully onboarding new institutional partners.

Challenge

​Brought in as a lead designer on a critical 48-hour timeline, I was tasked with finalizing a comprehensive viewbook for the Drexel School of Education. The project required immediate synthesis of complex academic data into a high-stakes pitch deck for potential university partners.

I was given the first 3 pages of the viewbook, but not the file so I couldn't easily edit the original version and add on the pages. So I had to essentially start from scratch, while trying to stay true to the original vibe of the first three pages.

 

The project must be in line with the Drexel brand, while promoting and highlighting the key aspects that represent the School of Education/what make it stand out.

Original Design
My Design

While the original design (left) relied on a dense, single-page format, I re-engineered the content into a dedicated two-page spread (right). This expansion allowed for a more prestigious placement of the Dean’s message and the creation of a high-impact 'Fast Facts' sidebar. By introducing a three-column grid and a sophisticated navy and gold palette, I transformed the information hierarchy into a scannable, executive-level reading experience.

Execution
 

I managed rapid-fire revisions made by the Executive Director of Marketing Strategy and the Dean of the College, to ensure the layout met rigorous brand standards and executive expectations. I moved the project from initial layout to final print-ready files in two days.

Result

The final viewbook served as the centerpiece of a successful partnership pitch, resulting in a signed agreement between the School of Education and their new partners. This project demonstrates my ability to deliver under extreme pressure without compromising design integrity or brand accuracy
